TAKING CARE OF YOUR JEWELRY
All of my jewelry is handcrafted in my small home studio in Brussels. Each piece is unique; small differences from what you see online are therefore completely normal — and that is exactly what makes handmade jewelry special.
GENERAL CARE
Finer jewelry is naturally more delicate. Therefore, be extra careful when putting it on, taking it off, and while wearing it. Avoid excessive bending or regularly adjusting your piece. A slight adjustment to suit your personal way of wearing it is perfectly fine, but repeated manipulation can harden the metal, which may eventually lead to breakage.
My jewelry is not treated with a chemical topcoat. I intentionally work with silver and gold — natural materials that rarely cause allergic reactions and age beautifully.
WARRANTY & REPAIRS
All jewelry comes with a one-year warranty covering design and manufacturing defects. If a defect occurs, feel free to contact the point of purchase or reach out to me directly.
Did your piece break after the warranty period? Don’t hesitate to contact me — we will look for a suitable solution together.
SILVER
Silver naturally oxidizes when it comes into contact with moisture, air, and light. As a result, it may become slightly dull over time. To slow down this process, it is best to store your piece in a dry, closed space, separated from gold-plated or solid gold jewelry.
Would you like your silver piece to look fresh and shiny again? I would be happy to polish it for you so it regains its original appearance.
GOLD-PLATED
My gold-plated jewelry is professionally finished in Antwerp with a layer of 18-carat gold. Rings, bracelets, and necklaces receive a 5-micron layer, while earrings are plated with 3 microns.
Thanks to this thickness, the plating can remain beautiful for many years, provided the jewelry is worn with care. Avoid contact with soap, sweat, or cosmetic products, and store it separately from other jewelry to prevent friction.
Has the golden shine faded slightly over time? I would be happy to have it re-plated for a small fee, so it shines like new again.
If you have any questions about caring for your jewelry or would like some advice, feel free to contact me — I’ll be happy to help.
